The Nomad 1000 is available in a tourist submarine version designated the Nomad 1000-T.

Unlike battery-powered tourist submersibles which are severely limited in speed, range and endurance, the Nomad 1000 is a true autonomous submarine. Nomad is capable of running on the surface with diesel engines, diving for extended periods under battery power, surfacing and then recharging batteries and high-pressure air tanks while underway. Like conventional tourist submersibles, Nomad has large acrylic viewports to provide its occupants with spectacular, panoramic views of the undersea world.

The Nomad's 305 meter diving depth allows for exploration at depths 3 to 7 times deeper than those achievable by conventional tourist submarines. Its high speed surface capability obviates the need for passenger transfer boats and crew. Nomad's 1000 nautical mile surface autonomy, which is 50 times that of a typical tourist sub, allows for a broad selection of dive sites and its greater endurance and submerged speed means Nomad can operate safely in areas where conventional tourist subs dare not dive.

The Nomad 1000-T is available in both 24-passenger and extended 36-passenger versions.
