Seattle 1000

A natural progression from the Nomad design is a larger submarine capable of extended surface range and endurance with greatly expanded interior space. With a 36-meter (118') overall length and a 6.5- meter (21') beam, the Seattle class boasts a central twin deck arrangement and ample space for independent staterooms, crews quarters and galley, living and dining areas. The interior space is sufficient to allow for several layout options dependent upon the owner's requirements.
The Seattle's 3000 nautical mile cruising range is sufficient for trans-Atlantic crossings. The ample battery capacity of 1100 kilowatt-hours means that the Seattle can remain submerged for up to 20 days.
Commercial Opportunities
The Seattle is perfect for crewed charter, and as potentially the only submarine of its type, the demand would be significant. An owner might charter the Seattle to offset costs.
If fitted with small, Pullman car style staterooms, an extended Seattle could take passengers on overnight trips from ports of opportunity. The experience could be marketed as a submarine version of the Orient Express, with a 24-hour trip costing in the neighborhood of US$2500 per person.
